Christianity

Posted by Zack Powell

According to Christianity, God spoke the world into existence through His Word (The Torah). It took seven days to create the whole world, universe, and everything therein.

On the first day, God created the Heavens and the Earth. After this, He created light, and darkness. He created "day", and "night", as well.

When the second day had begun, God divided the waters from the sky. He named the waters above (which are, the skies) Heaven.

On the third day, it is written that He took all the water and gathered it into one place, and allowed the dry land to appear. After doing this, He named the dry land Earth, and the waters of it the seas. He also created the grass, herbs, fruits, and the trees.

On the fourth day, God created the seasons, months, and years of the Earth. On this day, He created two bright lights - one for the night, which was the moon, and one for the day, which was the sun. He also made the stars. On having done this, He proceeded to set the lights, the stars, and all that He had created in the Heavens (the sky), to give light to the Earth.

On the fifth day, He created all the animals (including, the birds, the wales, and every moving thing with life). He also, after creating them, blessed them with the gift of multiplying throughout the Earth, that they may increase overtime.

On the sixth day, He created man in His image. He gave man dominion over all of the creation that He had made, including all of the animals, trees - everything. He then announced unto the man that He has given dominion over all the creation and that He has made.

On the seventh day, all of creation was finished. Therefore, He ended His work on all that we see. Then He, being finished, rested on the seventh day. He created man with the dust of the ground, and He breathed into his nostrils

God then, after finishing making man, created a Garden eastward in Eden. (Hence the name, the Garden of Eden), after doing this, He put man inside the garden. There was tree's and fruits for food, and beautiful water-filled rivers inside the garden. Man was forbidden to eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, and of the tree of life. God trusted that man wouldn't disobey Him. For sure, the man would die by disobeying.

After doing this, God then took man and put Him asleep, so that he could not see, hear, or feel anything that was going to happen. This man was called Adam. He took Adam's rib and made woman from that. Adam called her woman, because she had came from man.

All of the events had occurred, and then woman (called Eve - which means mother of all living things) was tempted by the serpent (who is, Satan/Lucifer/Devil) in the garden to eat of the tree. She fell into the temptation and trap laid by Satan, thus bringing sin into the world. She went to Adam and then he, too, ate of the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

In doing so, they both realized they were naked. They then, knowing they had no clothes on, took leaves and put them on to cover themselves up. God came into the garden and they hid so that He could not see. God therefore called out to them and asked where they were.

Once they told Him that they were hiding because they were naked, they were cast out of the garden of Eden. A curse was put upon them, that the woman will always receive pain during child birth, and the man will till the ground - so it will be very much harder on them both.

After a few generations, there was so much evil in the world that God had created, that He wiped them out with a huge flood. He did, however, keep one family who was very holy, and that was Noah. He built an arch to prepare for the flood, and then God let it rain for forty days and nights. After the flood, man re-populated the Earth, and God promised never to send another world wide flood again.

After another six or more generations, there was a king who decided his goal was to build a tower to reach Heaven. To stop his foolish ignorance from increasing, God tore the tower down and separated all of the human race so they would not be able to understand each other. (Before the tower of Babel, there was one language only)

After all these things had occurred, there was prophesied a coming of the Messiah, who is the chosen one to take on all the sins of the world on the cross. There was so much sin in the world that was happening, that the communication between God and man was destroyed because of that. The Messiah would come to restore that perfect communication between God and man. He would be a "bridge".

This Messiah would be in the blood line with the great King David, who was chosen to be King of Israel.

There were two people who were engaged in Israel: Mary and Joseph. They were clean and pure people who possibly didn't sin at all. God chose Mary to carry the Christ (who is, the Messiah) in her stomach, to give birth to Him. She was a virgin when she gave birth to the Chosen one - what she had in her was given to her by God Himself, not by man. This was to fulfill the prophecies in the old testament (the Torah).

After this, they named the boy Jesus. When Jesus was thirteen years old, He began His ministry by preaching in the temples.

When He was thirty five, that is when He started to rise into popularity throughout the world. The people of law, the scribes, and priest did not like Jesus because He did not speak to agree with them - but instead, against them. For they perverted the laws of God in many different ways. Jesus also did many miracles throughout His lifetime on Earth (i.e, walking on water, raising the dead, feeding five thousand people with small food, and many more)

The high priest and scribes gathered together and got Jesus and crucified Him on the cross. He was placed in a tomb, and in five days He arose from the dead. He then ascended into Heaven, after conquering death and the world, and everything in it.

Jesus gave His word, now called the Bible. Soon, His second coming will come where the world will end and everyone in it will be judged accordingly. His children (which are His Church) will go to Heaven. Those who chose to disbelieve will burn in hell fire for an eternity.

Sincerely yours,
